What is Baptism?
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” Matthew 28:19, 20
A. Baptism is a beginning step to show that you believe.
Baptism is a public act whereby a Believer is immersed in water as a sign that he or she has been genuinely saved. It is an ordinance established by Christ, for His Church, so that they may show that they understand the Gospel. Through baptism:
1.) We identify with His death and resurrection.
2.) We declare that we are Christ’s disciples.
3.) We show that a change has truly taken place and we are on a new spiritual journey.
